Welder - 3rd shift

Eaton\u2019s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Welder - 3rd shift at our Reno, NV facility! \n\nThe core hours are 10:00pm to 6:30am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.17 per hour + $1 per hour shift differential.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits we offer:\n\n * Health benefits effective day one of employment.\n * Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more! \n\n\n\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Perform simple repetitive tasks using bolts, screws, clips, hand tools, and other fastening devices.\n * Operate welding units for aluminum and steel; making minor adjustments as needed. \n * Remove excess weld and imperfections using grinders, brushes, chisels, or scrapers. \n * Work under close supervision using models, samples, or engineering drawings.\n * Support Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to 5S and visual mangment tools. \n * Participate in Kaizen events and improvement activities across the facility. \n * Train on material flow, shop orders, BOM and inspection sheets.\n * Read and interpret enginerring drawings, blueprint, and shop drawings accurately.\n * Operate welding units, machinery, and presses safely and proficiently. \n * Identify raw material types and gauges; using measuring tools like tape measures, scales, and calipers. \n * Understand and apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts. \n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum of 1 year welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG). \n\u2022 Experience adjusting and troubleshooting welding equipment. \n\u2022 Experience identifying defects and measure workpiece to ensure conformance. \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV, will be considered.
