Welder /Fabricator

• Perform welding and fabrication works using Mild Steel (MS), Aluminum, and Cast Iron according to job requirements.
  


• Carry out gas welding, gas cutting, and heating operations safely and efficiently.
  


• Repair and fabricate vehicle body components, brackets, frames, supports, and structural assemblies.
  


• Conduct crack repairs, reinforcement, and alignment of chassis and vehicle body structures.
  


• Ensure welding quality, durability, and finishing meet workshop standards.
  


• Inspect completed welds for defects and perform corrective actions where necessary.
  


• Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
  


• Follow company HSE policies, welding procedures, and workplace safety standards at all times.
  


• Wear and maintain required PPE including welding helmets, gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
  


• Handle, store, and operate gas cylinders and welding equipment safely.
  


• Prevent fire risks and maintain cleanliness and order within the welding area.
  


• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, hazards, and incidents immediately.
  


• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and related documentation accurately.
  


• Coordinate with mechanics, supervisors, and workshop personnel to execute repair and fabrication tasks effectively.
  


• Maintain welding machines, tools, and accessories in proper working condition.
  

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in gas welding, gas cutting, and heating operations.
  


• Ability to perform vehicle body repair, structural fabrication, and chassis reinforcement works.
  


• Ability to inspect weld quality and identify defects for corrective action.
  


• Basic ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, measurements, and job instructions.
  


• Knowledge of welding safety standards, HSE requirements, and safe work practices.
  


• Experience in the safe handling and storage of gas cylinders and welding equipment.
  


• Ability to accurately complete job cards and maintenance/work records.
  


• Good teamwork and coordination skills for working with mechanics, supervisors, and workshop teams.
  


• Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality workmanship.
  


• Ability to maintain welding machines, tools, and accessories in good working condition.
