Welder- FT, Davenport

Welders are at the heart of our work in the sustainability field! If you are interested in gaining job knowledge and experience with modifications and repairs, this is the place for you! Some of your responsibilities will include repairing racks and client products, inspecting and maintaining welding equipment, communicating with coworkers and supervisors to report/resolve issues, and sometimes includes using blueprints and computers to complete orders.

Material Control Systems started out in Waterloo, Iowa as a small container management warehouse consisting of family and friends. Since then, we have set the standard in the industry for our client and now operate in 5 states with 13 locations.   Proven knowledge and skill of welding techniques and safety.


• 
  Experience working with a team or across teams to complete tasks on time


• 
  Experience with computers and blueprints


• 
  Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions in English


• 
  Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills

  Prior experience in a warehouse or welding shop

  Experience working with supervisors to resolve issues and recommend improvements

Required education and experience 

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent required 


• 
  Ability to pass forklift operation testing during onboarding process

Hours for this location and position are: 5:30am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday with some Saturday or daytime overtime (10 hour shifts) as workload requires.
