Job Title: Welder

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift/Pay: 1st Shift ($21.00/hr) and 2nd Shift ($22.00/hr)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Welding Operator to join our team at our facility in Phoenix, AZ. The Welding Operator will be responsible for performing routine duties while operating equipment to move, weld, and apply certification stamps to pipes. This role requires knowledge of all welding processes and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manually move pipes in and out of welding machinery.
• Operate welding and plasma machines to apply welded outlets to desired pipes.
• Use a hand-held weld gun to apply rewelds as specified.
• Apply certification stamps to weld areas using metal stamps and hammers.
• Transfer finished goods by moving pipes along tables and offloading them onto pipe carts.
• Push carts of pipes to the loading area for shipment purposes.
• Operate pneumatic banders to prepare pipe bundles for shipment when required.
• Complete training curriculum, including safety requirements, and demonstrate an acceptable level of competence as defined by management.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform job duties within the guidelines of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for that function.
• Handle additional tasks necessary to fulfill the needs of the company and the customer as directed by the fabrication lead, fabrication manager, or branch operations manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a production multitask environment while under time constraints.
• Previous welding experience is helpful, with the ability to become certified.
• Basic arithmetic skills required, including the ability to use whole numbers and decimals and read a tape measure in 1/4 " increments.
