Welder - SVI Trucks

SVI Trucks builds custom fire apparatus, including rescue trucks, hazmat units, command vehicles, fire engines, tanker trucks, law enforcement vehicles and more. Every truck that leaves the factory is truly one of a kind thanks to innovative engineering and meticulous construction.

We are looking for an energetic, self-starting, experienced Welder/Fabricator for our Truck Division. If you are interested in building equipment that helps save lives, please apply.

Essential Functions:

• Welding aluminum
• Working knowledge of fabrication process and welding procedures
• Time management
• Other duties as assigned

• Welding experience necessary
• Able to use and read a tape measure
• Working knowledge of fabrication process and welding procedures
• General mechanical knowledge
• General mathematical knowledge such as addition and subtraction, and ability to understand fractions and decimals
• Good organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to follow instructions explicitly
• Must be able to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, high-energy, busy atmosphere.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or bending
• Must pass drug screen, background check, and physical agility test
• A welding evaluation will be given if candidate is chosen for an interview

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Compensation: $21.00 - $26.00/Hour DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
