Welder/ Weld Tech

• • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
  • Understand and promote clients philosophies.
  • Welding- Mig, Tig, and arc cutting torch.
  • Machining- mill, lathe, grinder, drill press, brake press, ironworker, shear, saw, plasma table.
  • Hand tools - grinders, drill
  • Must be able to work from blueprints and sketches.
  • Must be able to design and make tools, fixtures and fittings.
  • Has working knowledge of preheating steel or casting and welding rods.
  • To make all types of elements as required.
  • Maintain all welding equipment.
  • Operate a variety of small machines, tools and equipment.
  • To flame harden and flame cut as required.
  • Promote good housekeeping (5S) TPM
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane.

• • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Manufacturing experience, automotive background preferred
  • Welding certificate preferred

• • Welding experience (TIG/MIG/MAG)
  • Must be organized and show initiative
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work well with others

• • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

  • Schedule: Day shift, 40/h
  • Assignment Start: ASAP, Contract to direct hire
