Location: Johnstown, PA
Salary: $85,000-$100,000+ DOE
Responsibilities:
Lead research and development projects to develop new welding processes, techniques, and technologies.
Conduct experiments and trials to evaluate welding methods and materials for feasibility and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to develop and implement new welding solutions.
Analyze data and results to make recommendations for process improvements and innovations.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in welding technologies and materials.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of research findings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding engineering, with a focus on research and development.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and materials science.
Experience with research methodologies, experimental design, and data analysis.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
