At BOXMAN Studios, we don't just build we rethink the entire construction process through modular innovation. We're looking for a Lead Welder who brings skill, precision, and leadership to every weld, every build, and every teammate.

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll help oversee the daily operations of our weld and fabrication team, guiding projects through production with an eye on quality, safety, and craftsmanship. You'll work side by side with team members while setting the tone for communication, accountability, and performance on the floor.

What You'll Do

• Lead the daily workflow of the weld/fab team, helping assign tasks and set production priorities

• Set the standard with expert MIG welding on steel and aluminum while staying actively involved in daily builds

• Read and interpret shop drawings, weld symbols, and technical specs to ensure fabrication accuracy

• Train and mentor new hires and junior team members to grow capability across the team

• Monitor build quality and proactively correct weld or fit issues before they impact deadlines

• Promote and enforce a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

• Collaborate with Production Leadership to keep projects on schedule and meet shop-wide goals

• Provide clear, respectful communication that keeps your team aligned and motivated

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in steel/aluminum welding and fabrication

• Strong experience with MIG welding; TIG and Stick are a plus

• Confident in blueprint reading and understanding build plans

• Proficiency using fabrication tools: grinders, saws, impact drills, shears, press brakes, etc.

• A proactive mindset you don't wait for problems, you help prevent them

• Experience training or mentoring others in a shop setting

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in physically active environments (overhead, crouching, bending)

• Forklift certification (or willingness to earn it)

• High school diploma or equivalent
