Welding Technician Aerospace Components & Structures

We are seeking skilled welders to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform high-precision welding and assembly tasks on aluminum, steel, and alloy components to meet strict aerospace tolerances and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various welding processes (including gas welding and friction stir welding) on aluminum, steel, and alloy parts and assemblies.

• Prepare metal surfaces for welding and non-destructive testing using precision hand tools.

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine layouts and complete welds accordingly.

• Join metal parts to create strong, permanent bonds using electrical currents, gas torches, or solid-state welding methods.

• Operate large, motion-controlled machines to produce friction stir welds on launch vehicle components.

• Conduct inspections and quality checks on welded surfaces to ensure conformance with specifications.

• Perform routine maintenance on complex machines involving pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with aerospace or precision welding techniques.

• Familiarity with Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
