JOB SUMMARY

The Wellfield Maintenance Tech is responsible This includes, Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, structures, and pipe in and around company well field by performing the following duties. This position will require you to follow instructions and standard operating procedures as part of the normal function of this position. The position will work with the Wellfield Foreman, Smeal and CTU Operator and wellfield contractors on a day-to-day basis while you directly report to Wellfield Supervisor. The position is a full-time position, and the regular schedule is 5- (8 hours) days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment used in and around wellfield.
• May be asked to listen for unusual sounds from well field machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery used in well field (Smeal unit, CTU unit, etc.).
• Installs and repairs broken pipe, casing, and or any related well field equipment.
• Will lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe system and any related equipment in or around well field. Will repair and replace gauges, valves,
• pressure regulators, and all other related well field equipment.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as drills or other machinery used to repair other machinery in and around well field.
• Will operate butt- fusing machine used in and around well field.
• Will repair structures used in and around well field.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Temporary Operating Procedures, Instructions and Safe Work Practices in the execution of the duties of the
• position.
• Perform well-field housekeeping at all times.

Requirements

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

• High School or GED or combination of training and experience.
• Use a computer and Microsoft programs for generating reports, monitoring plant and well-field conditions, and prepare well-field balance sheet. (training provided)
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be well organized.
• Excellent people skills.
• Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Climb up and down stairs carrying load of 25 pounds.
• Work both day and night shifts 3 days on and 3 days off, alternate every 2 shifts from days to night.
• Work in changing weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Stoop, bend, kneel, reach, and crawl.
• Must pass pulmonary exam to wear respirators as job requires.
• Ability to enter confined spaces as the job requires.
