The Rim Cleaner is responsible for cleaning all incoming wheels and rims that come into the plant. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity of the parts prior to melting.
1. Transport rims and wheels from yard to work area
2. Ensure all load/lot numbers are kept together and organized efficiently
3. Use grinder to grind off valve stem and any leftover rubber
4. Check and perform preventative maintenance on necessary equipment
5. Maintain a clean work area
6. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise in work area
7. Follow company dress code and use proper PPE at all times
