We are seeking a
Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to join our fast-paced Pulmonary Clinics:
- The Pulmonary Clinic offers a broad array of diagnostic and management skills in treating adult patients with advanced pulmonary diseases, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer and asthma.
- Provide a remarkable patient experience, as you may be one of the first people a patient interacts with at their appointment.
- Responsible for important preparation work like taking vitals, noting patients' needs and concerns, and assisting with clinic procedures and exams.
- Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment.
- Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education
Minimum Requirements:- Facility Requirement:
- Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile including resume, medefis portal, onboarding documents).
- Experience:
- Minimum two years' experience required as Certified Medical Assistant.
- Traveler must have ambulatory or clinic experience including rooming patients.
- Epic experience highly preferred.
- Prior traveler experience required.
- Licensure and Certification:
- Certified as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN.
- BLS – must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or
- In lieu of the above requirements, two (2) years of recent Medical Assistant experience and current CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
- Reference
- Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
- Floating
- Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
Location: Floating between 600 Highland Avenue, Madison, WI AND 202 S Park Street, Madison
Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation for 600 Highland Ave, free parking for S Park Street
