Will Call Associate

VP Supply Corp is one of the nation’s largest distributors of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical supplies. We have over 350 employees with 15 locations across Western New York and Pennsylvania. For over 50 years, we have proudly served residential customers as well as contractors and municipalities across a variety of industries. 

Position Overview:

Our Warehouse department is seeking to hire a Will Call Associate with 1-2 years of experience to join our Rochester branch.

The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers to fulfill will call orders.
• Provide excellent customer service and help to solve customer order issues.
• Inspect product, quantities, and accuracy for deliveries.
• Ensure accuracy of quantities pulled or stocked locations.
• Take corrective action, as deemed necessary for back order or missing product.
• Ensure product is safely stored to prevent internal damage and properly located for order pulls, physical counts, and inventory control.
• Pull customer orders quickly and ascertain accuracy that product pulled is aligned with customer specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
• Enforce warehouse rules, keeping warehouse clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of order picking, packing and/or stocking of products in a warehouse setting is required. 
• 1-2 years of Customer service experience required.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Willing and able to operate material handling equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time, without stress.
• Flexibility with schedule to ensure daily warehouse duties are completed before end of shift.
• Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift training preferred, but not required. We provide internal training for all warehouse employees.
• Product knowledge with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical material highly desired.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• This job operates in a high traffic warehouse that is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to lift 50-75 pounds. While mainly standard hours are scheduled for this position, flexibility is required to be able to ensure all orders and job duties are completed by end of shift.
