Job Title: Windows Storage Engineer

High-Level Requirement:
Operate in the US time zone and participate in on-call in the US time zone
High degree of Windows Server expertise, Run and plan VMWARE operations like capacity planning, migrations, architectural planning and address any customer operational issues.
Expertise in AWS, cloud migration, and automation is a bonus
Must be ok with on-call weekend work between 8 am-5 pm
Must be able to roll up sleeves and hop in on work L1-L5

Skills Required:
Primary:

VMware vSphere, AWS, Windows Administration, RedHat OpenShift KubeVirt platforms
Secondary:

Linux, Windows Patching, Basic Scripting, ITIL, Incident Management

Candidate Relevant Experience : 12 to 18 Years

Detailed Scope of Work:
Engineering L3/L4 Tasks:
Develop and maintain tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data for reporting, alerting, and monitoring.
Collaborate with leadership, senior engineers, program managers, and product managers to develop compelling IT products and services that meet customer needs.
Plan and work on Capacity deployment on RedHat OpenShift, AWS & VMware
Expertise in RedHat OpenShift for cluster deployments, working with Vendors and troubleshooting issue

L1/L2 Operations Task:
Manage the Compute Services queue in ServiceNow.
Provide solutions to INC and tasks as per agreed SLA with the business.
Perform daily routine health checks to ensure device availability.
Action Alerts received from Monitoring and PagerDuity
High-Level tasks on Windows/VMware/RedHat OpenShift
Disk expansion / delete partition / create partition using existing automation.
CPU / memory utilization (Performance issue on server)
Move Objects in Active Directory Organization unit (OU), AD-related tasks
Working on Tools like Tools – Windbg / RDP / Monitoring tool / Ticketing Tool / etc.
Create/deploy VM using the available automation ITSS
Taking snapshot / Revert snapshot / consolidate snapshot / delete snapshot of VM on VMware & RedHat OpenShift
Increase resources (CPU/Mem/NIC) on VM VMware & RedHat OpenShift
VM hardware version upgrade on VMware
Install VMware tools on the VM.
Check Alarms / Event / Task on Windows VM (Troubleshooting purpose)

L3/L4 Task:
Participate in P1 incidents & critical outages and lead the discussion on the technical front on VMware/OpenSHift/Windows
Plan and implement firmware & software upgrades on servers with VMware and OSF installed on them.
Document resolution of escalated incidents that will assist the L2 team to handle going forward.
Create SOPs for Manual task
Troubleshoot BSOD & PSOD Issues
Troubleshoot Performance issues at RedHat OSF/AWS/Windows/VMware Level
Troubleshoot VM build issue
Open Support tickets with vendors like RedHatOSF/AWS/VMware/Microsoft.

Monthly Windows Patching for QA/Stage/Production servers.
Participate in Monthly Windows patching on rotation basis.
Software updates group creation with list of available patches in Automox & SCCM
Validate the patches which need to be pushed.
Deploy the collection for Dev/QA/Stage/Prod
Out Of Band Patching for Critical Patches Released
Coordination with Application owners and notify on Patching window
Perform pre-patching validation test
Perform post patching validation and record test results of functionality validation.
Work on problem children
