Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Windows System Administrator (Associate-Level) to join our Mid-shift (see shift hours below) team in Sierra Vista, Arizona. 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Must have DoD Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Windows System Administrator will provide support to the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of computer systems operating on one or more platforms.

You will collaborate across multiple teams and senior leadership to design, implement, manage, and maintain IT systems and assets. Responsibilities include deploying and supporting workforce technologies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal system performance. Additionally, you will provide on-site support as needed to maintain full network capability and availability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide tier 1 and 2 support to a global information system.
  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware/software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
  • Provide advice and training to end-users.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

Shift Information:

  • Mid-Shift
  • Sunday - Wednesday
  • 10:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen 
  • Must have DoD Secret Security Clearance (Tier 3 or higher).
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security Training, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC) equivalent or higher.
  • One (1+) year or more of directly related experience in systems administration or a similar role.
  • Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce IT policies and standards.
  • Computing environment certification in VMware (VCP-DCV) or Cisco (CCNP-DC) within 60 days of hire.

Preferred:

  • AA/AS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
  • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server experience.
  • PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft servers.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
