Windows System Engineer INTL India

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Windows Systems Engineer to work remotely from India in CST hours for our US based client. This role will drive efficiencies for the business through the advancement and delivery of the Server and Storage systems (NetApp, DELL, Cisco), platforms and applications. Responsibilities include acting as the front-line support person for all incidents and alerts received to the Server/Storage team following established documented procedures, as well as assisting with documenting new procedures when appropriate. This person will be performing backup and recovery tasks using Veeam and DELL PowerVault technologies. The ideal candidate will have Experience Supporting Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Hyper-V, and at least some familiarity with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, RedHat Enterprise Linux operating systems, VMware vSphere, and Nutanix Acropolis platforms. It will also include enterprise Storage and Platform Management (physical & virtual), Virtualization, Backups and Recovery, and ensuring security compliance for all Distributed Systems. This person must be familiar with the use of Microsofts System Center Suite, Active Directory/GPMC, RedHat Satellite, VMware vSphere, and able to perform maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.

This role can pay between $14-17/hr USD.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of professional experience in IT operating systems administration engineering

- Experience with troubleshooting and remediating Issues on Microsoft windows systems and platforms (Windows OS, Hyper-V, System Center Suite, and Active Directory)

- Comfortable with storage systems such as NetApp, Dell, or Cisco

- Experience with Hyper-V Management and Support

- Fluent written and spoken English - Experience on VMware and RedHat Operating Systems

- Experience with Citrix XenApp/Xen Desktop Support

- Experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery Management and Support

- Experience with PowerVault Storage Management and Support null
