About the Role:

• Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full-Time Wine and Spirits Manager-Head Clerk in San Francisco at our Grand Central location. The perfect candidate must have passion and experience in wine and specialty spirits as well as a desire to develop their product knowledge to provide a tailored shopping experience for all customers.  The perfect candidate will not only have a love of wine and spirits but have a passion for food and groceries. Local candidates only.

Essential Functions:

• Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service.
• Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate our guests as well as give suggestions and pairing ideas with food.
• Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout the department.
• Oversee the processing and stocking of new shipments.
• Inventory control.
• Transporting merchandise from storage areas and sales floor.
• Assist in other departments if needed and cashiering.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail with a focus on wine/spirits
• Previous experience in grocery in a supervisory role.
• Previous cash handling skills a plus.

Competencies:

• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Self-motivated and energetic.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to develop product knowledge and stay current.

Travel Requirements:                                                                                                                                        

• Independent and reliable local travel up to 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
• Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
• Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
• Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.

Pay range:

$29.98-$30.66/hour depending on industry experience
