Winter Maintenance - Seasonal Team Member

Locations Available: Sauk County Properties (Based in Baraboo, WI)

What's the role?

Our Winter Maintenance crew will help keep REMS properties safe and accessible when snow and ice removal is required. We are seeking part-time team members based in the Baraboo area to support properties throughout Sauk County. This seasonal role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done, and can be counted on when winter weather arrives.

Opportunities for year-round employment may be available for candidates interested in supporting maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, or other property services during warmer months. Duties Include:

• Respond to snow and ice events by clearing snow from designated property areas and customer sites


• Operate snowplows, snowblowers, vehicles, and other equipment safely and efficiently while following recommended operating procedures


• Control ice accumulation through the application of approved de-icing materials and hand-treating walkways, entrances, and other priority areas as needed


• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment while maintaining safe working conditions


• Communicate professionally with residents, customers, and team members while complying with all health and safety regulations

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

We are always willing to train candidates in the earlier stages of their career or utilize the wealth of skills from a seasoned pro. Here are some skills we'd love to see on your resume:

• Snow removal, landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, maintenance, or similar experience


• Experience operating snow plows, snowblowers, skid steers, tractors, or other equipment is helpful but not required


• Valid driver's license to travel between job sites as needed


• Equipment operator certifications preferred


• Ability to work outdoors in winter weather, hand shovel snow, and lift up to 50 pounds


• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or as part of a team

What's the schedule?

This is a seasonal, part-time position that works on an as-needed basis during snow and ice events. Team members must be available to respond when winter weather impacts our properties. Scheduling is flexible and based on weather conditions, property needs, and your availability. Additional seasonal work or future year-round opportunities may be available for candidates interested in supporting maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, or other property services.
