Wire Room Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Wire Room Associate to join our team at Ray Electric. This role is responsible for accurately cutting, measuring, and preparing electrical wire and cable orders according to customer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure, cut, and spool wire and cable based on customer orders.


• Operate wire-cutting equipment and ensure all cuts meet quality standards.


• Organize and label wire products for easy identification and retrieval.


• Maintain accurate records of wire inventory, usage, and waste.


• Assist with receiving, stocking, and managing wire inventory.


• Work closely with warehouse and sales teams to fulfill orders efficiently.


• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.


• Keep the wire room clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Prior experience in a warehouse or electrical distribution environment preferred.


• Familiarity with wire types, gauges, and electrical distribution products is a plus.


• Ability to operate wire-cutting machines and other warehouse equipment.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.


• Basic math skills for measuring and cutting wire.


• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.


• Team player with good communication skills.
