This role requires deep expertise in modern WLAN architectures, with a heavy emphasis on Juniper Mist, and strong experience across HPE Aruba and Cisco wireless portfolios.\n\nThe Architect II will own end\u2011to\u2011end wireless solution design, from discovery and conceptual architecture through detailed design, deployment guidance, and optimization. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, provide direction to engineering teams, and act as an escalation point for complex wireless performance and reliability issues. Key responsibilities include:\n\nClient Leadership \u0026 Strategy\n\n * Serve as the primary wireless architecture advisor to enterprise clients, shaping overall WLAN strategy and roadmap.\n * Lead client workshops, assessments, and design sessions to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient wireless architectures.\n * Present solutions, design decisions, and trade\u2011offs to both technical and executive stakeholders in clear, business\u2011aligned language.\n\n\n\nArchitecture \u0026 Design\n\n * Own the end\u2011to\u2011end technical design of wireless solutions, with a focus on Juniper Mist, including:\n * RF design and validation for complex office, campus, industrial, and/or retail environments.\n * Architecture for WLAN, LAN/WLAN integration, cloud-managed platforms, and integration with security and identity services.\n * High\u2011availability, redundancy, and scalability planning.\n * Develop high\u2011quality design artifacts: HLDs, LLDs, BOMs, diagrams, configuration standards, and implementation guidelines.\n * Define and enforce wireless design standards, reference architectures, and best practices across projects.\n\n\n\nTechnical Leadership \u0026 Team Guidance\n\n * Provide technical direction to teams of network and wireless engineers during deployment and optimization phases.\n * Function as a top\u2011tier escalation point for complex wireless issues, driving root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.\n * Mentor and coach engineers on wireless design concepts, tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.\n * Provide architectural and design peer reviews and serve as oversite for wireless projects.\n\n\n\nImplementation Support \u0026 Troubleshooting\n\n * Guide and oversee survey, design, and validation work using Ekahau and Hamina, ensuring alignment with client performance and coverage requirements.\n * Lead complex troubleshooting efforts involving RF interference, capacity issues, roaming problems, client behavior, and application performance.\n * Collaborate with OEM support (Juniper Mist, HPE Aruba, Cisco) on escalations, TAC cases, and advanced feature implementation.\n\n\n\nStandards, Governance \u0026 Continuous Improvement\n\n * Contribute to internal best practices, standards, and reusable design patterns for wireless solutions.\n * Evaluate emerging wireless technologies (e.g., Wi\u2011Fi 6/6E/7, location services, IoT integration, AI\u2011driven operations) and advise clients and internal leadership on their applicability.\n * Support pre\u2011sales and solutioning efforts by providing accurate level\u2011of\u2011effort estimates, scope definitions, and technical input to proposals/SOWs.\n\n\n\nBe AmbITious: This opportunity is not just about what you do today but also about where you can go tomorrow. When you bring your hunger, heart, and harmony to Insight, your potential will be met with continuous opportunities to upskill, earn promotions, and elevate your career.\n\nWhat were looking for:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n * 7\u201310+ years of hands\u2011on experience in enterprise wireless networking design, implementation, and troubleshooting.\n * Proven experience leading large or complex WLAN projects and directing teams of engineers.\n * Demonstrated experience as a client\u2011facing architect or senior engineer responsible for solution direction and design approvals.\n * Deep knowledge of 802.11 protocols, RF fundamentals, capacity planning, roaming behavior, QoS, and wireless security (WPA2/3\u2011Enterprise, 802.1X, RADIUS, etc.).\n * Strong, recent hands\u2011on experience with Mist Cloud, APs, and related components (e.g., Marvis, location services, SLEs, AI\u2011driven operations).\n * Experience designing, deploying, and operating Mist\u2011based environments at enterprise scale.\n * Solid experience architecting and troubleshooting wireless solutions across Aruba and Cisco portfolios (e.g., controllers or controllerless, cloud\u2011managed).\n * Familiarity with policy/enforcement platforms (e.g., ClearPass, ISE) and integration into WLAN designs.\n * Expert\u2011level proficiency with Ekahau for predictive design, onsite surveys, and validation surveys.\n * Strong hands\u2011on experience with Hamina for predictive design and modeling.\n * Strong understanding of wired network fundamentals (switching/routing) as they relate to WLAN (PoE, VLANs, QoS, multicast, etc.).\n * Comfort with reading and developing network diagrams and detailed configuration documentation.\n * Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to C\u2011level, technical leadership, and engineering teams.\n * Demonstrated leadership in cross\u2011functional and multi\u2011stakeholder environments.\n * Strong analytical and problem\u2011solving abilities with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.\n * Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and prioritize effectively.\n * Relevant industry certifications, such as:\n * Juniper: JNCIP\u2011ENT, JNCIE\u2011ENT, or Mist\u2011specific accreditations.\n * CWNP: CWDP, CWAP, CWSP, CWISA, or CWNE (strong plus).\n * Aruba: ACMP/ACMX.\n * Cisco: CCNP Enterprise (wireless focus) or legacy CCNP Wireless.\n * Experience integrating WLAN with NAC, MDM, and identity platforms.\n * Experience with advanced analytics, AI\u2011driven operations tools, and location\u2011based services.\n * Experience in consulting or professional services environments, including SOW development and project estimation.\n * Experience with scripting and automation to operational and drive efficiencies.\n\n\n\nWhat you can expect \nWe\u2019re legendary for taking care of you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
