Job Description - Wiring Team Lead - SWBD

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Wiring Team Lead - SWBD. Schedule for the role will be Monday-Thursday and hours are 5am-1:30pm.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nIn the Team Leader role, you will work with the Supervisor to drive results on key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. You will provide leadership by promoting teamwork, training others and providing proactive resolution to production needs.\n\n \nEssential Functions:\n\n\u2022 You will promote a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by proactively addressing and resolving concerns and escalating issues to your supervisor as appropriate. \n\u2022 You will work directly with the manufacturing team to ensure that customer orders are executed in a timely and efficient manner and that the most urgent orders are fulfilled first. \n\u2022 You will review orders and associated documentation (drawings, travel documents, bills of material) as needed to ensure the team has the appropriate information to complete the job and to assist with troubleshooting problems with the order documentation. \n\u2022 You will communicate professionally to provide updates on the status of specific orders, resolve issues with production and promote teamwork across departments. \n\u2022 You will participate in the training and development of employees as the technical subject matter expert. You will ensure a flexible workforce through cross training in critical positions. \n\u2022 You will delegate tasks and align resources as appropriate to meet production goals including working in a production associate capacity due to absenteeism/leaves of absence. \n\u2022 You will work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive assigned projects to completion. \n\u2022 You will cross train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 2 years of manufacturing experience. \n\u2022 3 months of leadership experience managing people or project teams. \n\u2022 Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n \nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Associate\u2019s degree from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams. \n\u2022 1 year experience in switchboard assembly. \n\u2022 Experience with Eaton systems including order entry (Vista), material management (DMM), MRP/ERP (AS400) \n\u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. \n\u2022 Able to direct and influence others without formal leadership authority. \n\u2022 Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. \n\u2022 Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint \n\u2022 Working knowledge of Lean concepts \n\u2022 Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.\n\n \nPhysical Demands: \nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, pull, and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 35 pounds and to push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds with or without accommodation. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination.
