Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Business Administration or a closely related field. A BSN/RN is preferred.
3-5 years of related work experience in health care administration, behavioral health, substance use treatment, public health or closely related field.
Previous supervisory experience.
Valid driver’s license.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Motivational interviewing and de-escalation training (or ability to obtain)
Must be free of chemical use problems for at least 2 years prior to employment.
Ability to pass a background check

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide administrative leadership for the Withdrawal Management Program.
Collaborate with the Public Health Director on strategic planning, policy development, and operational initiatives that support the mission and goals of the Public Health Department.
In collaboration with the Public Health Director, oversees recruitment, hiring, orientation, employee development, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action.
Fosters a positive workplace culture that emphasizes accountability, teamwork, continuous quality improvement, employee development, and exceptional customer service.
Collaborates with the RN Supervisor, Medical Director, and clinical leadership to ensure evidence-based practice, safe client care, appropriate admissions and discharges, and compliance with all licensing standards.
Represents the Withdrawal Management program with hospitals, behavioral health providers, correctional facilities, law enforcement, emergency medical services, treatment providers, community organizations, county departments, state agencies, and regional partners.
Participates as a member of the Public Health leadership team by attending management meetings, contributing to department-wide strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, budget discussions, and organizational decision-making.
Participates in Public Health emergency preparedness activities, Incident Command System (ICS) functions, continuity of operations planning, and county emergency response activities.
