WM Trading Operations, Associate

Monitor and review customer orders based on proprietary risk-based parameters and standards Investigate and resolve trading inquiries and exceptions to enhance the client experience and ensure regulatory compliance Provide internal trade support to E*TRADE Service, Sales, and Operations teams by phone, email, and chat Troubleshoot operational and technology-based problems impacting customer orders and trades Handle inbound communication from market centers and exchanges regarding order routing and trade execution Facilitate effective order routing and order management utilizing proprietary OMS and related middle office applications Provide insight and feedback related to process improvement and operational efficiency Monitor and evaluate system performance Become a subject matter expert on E*TRADE's customer trading applications, OMS, and US market structure Review and resolve reconciliation exceptions on trade- and order-related blotters and reports Uphold strict risk-management principles at all times to protect E*TRADE clients, the Firm, and the financial markets Demonstrated ability to function independently, as well as part of a team, with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Extensive knowledge of equity/option/futures markets and trading Proven ability to prioritize competing interests and manage multiple deadlines Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues Verified ability to acquire skills quickly and integrate new ideas Work well under pressure Understanding in the areas of margin, order entry/execution, corporate actions and reorganizations, and P&S Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated organizational skills Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills required to handle and resolve high-risk items Working knowledge of the securities industry regulatory landscape and current environment Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (advanced Excel skills a plus) Bloomberg Terminal and OMS/EMS experience a plus Active Series 7 & 63 Our values - putting clients first, doing the right thing, leading with exceptional ideas, committing to diversity and inclusion, and giving back - aren't just beliefs, they guide the decisions we make every day to do what's best for our clients, communities and more than 80,000 employees in 1,200 offices across 42 countries. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
