Job Description Manhattan WMOS Performance Tester

Role: Manhattan Performance Tester
Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Mandatory Skills: Manhattan, LoadRunner

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage performance testing initiatives across onshore and offshore teams.

• Design, plan, and execute performance test strategies covering complex end-to-end flows.

• Conduct workload modeling, environment setup, test data preparation, execution, and defect management.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and timely resolution of performance issues.

• Define performance monitoring requirements and alert thresholds using APM tools.

• Support performance testing activities during peak seasons, weekends, and odd hours as required.

• Ensure high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines while managing conflicting priorities.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS/CIS, or equivalent professional experience.

2. 8+ years of progressive performance testing experience across waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery models.

3. Hands-on expertise with load testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, CloudTest, etc.

4. Strong knowledge of Performance Engineering concepts and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.

5. Proficiency in technologies: Java EE, .NET, SAP, Web Services, Microservices, SQL/No-SQL, Tibco, MQ, Docker, Kubernetes.

6. Experience in performance testing of both on-prem and cloud solutions (GCP, Azure, AWS).

7. Prior experience with Manhattan WMS (on-premise).

8. Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

9. Ability to lead test estimation, NFR gathering, and scenario design.

10. Demonstrated problem-solving, relationship-building, and communication skills.

11. Experience in the retail domain with eCommerce, Web, Mobile, Order Management, Supply Chain, WMS, and POS systems is highly desired.

12. Flexible to provide support during odd hours and high-demand business periods.
