Job Summary
As a Girls Team Gymnastics Coach, you will play a key role in developing athletes in Levels 1–7 through progressive training, positive mentorship, and safe coaching practices. This position involves coaching athletes on all four women’s artistic gymnastics events while helping athletes build confidence, work ethic, discipline, and teamwork.
The schedule for this position is variable and will include evenings, weekends, competitions, clinics, and special events. We prefer a minimum of 5 days availability and a willingness to assist with meets, camps, and other team activities throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities
You will be coaching and mentoring competitive gymnasts while helping athletes progress safely through the USAG developmental levels. Responsibilities include:
Coaching Girls Team athletes Levels 1–7 on vault, bars, beam, and floor
Creating a safe, structured, and positive training environment
Teaching proper technique, shaping, strength, flexibility, and skill progressions
Providing positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to help athletes achieve individual and team goals
Assisting athletes in building confidence, discipline, accountability, and teamwork
Communicating effectively with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches
Learning and implementing proper spotting techniques, drills, conditioning, and progressions
Assisting with team events including meets, mock meets, camps, clinics, choreography, and special events
Supporting the overall success and culture of the Girls Team Program
Adapting to schedule changes and assisting with additional events as needed
Qualifications
Passion for gymnastics and working with children and athletes
Previous gymnastics coaching or competitive gymnastics experience preferred
Knowledge of women’s artistic gymnastics events and skill progressions for Levels 1–7 preferred
Availability to work evenings and weekends, including occasional competitions and events
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow as a coach
Ability to follow coaching guidelines and safety protocols
USAG certifications are a plus, but not required
Fine Print
A few requirements to note:
Ability to see and hear clearly from across the gym floor
Ability to provide sustained attention to athletes during practice
Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto spotting blocks to assist athletes
Ability to safely spot athletes, including the strength to lift and assist a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to move equipment, including pushing or pulling a minimum of 50 pounds
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to maintain a consistent schedule. Athletes rely on consistency from their coaches.
