Women's Mental Health Coach

Job Description - Women's Mental Health Coach

About Us

Mamaya Health was born out of a bold ambition: to shape a future where mental health care is accepted as a fundamental human right. We believe therapy is a lifeline, not a luxury - which is why we accept most major insurances and offer sliding scale options to reduce financial barriers.

Our mission: mental healthcare for women, for those she loves, for every season. We envision a world where everyone has equitable access to high-quality care through all stages of life.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Coach to help launch Mamaya Health’s national 1:1 coaching service. Supported by the Direct of Clinical Operations, you will deliver goal-focused 30- and 60-minute coaching sessions by video to clients across the country, uphold our mission and values, and help clients connect to clinical care when they need more than coaching.

Who You Are

  • A warm, mission-driven coach with a passion for helping women move toward their goals.

  • Flexible, collaborative, and autonomous, with strong cultural competence and inclusivity.

  • Committed to growth, accountability, and a high-quality client experience.

Job Duties + Functions

  • Provide 1:1 coaching sessions in 30- and 60-minute formats via Mamaya Health’s video platform.

  • Maintain a minimum of 10 available hours per week in Mamaya Health’s scheduling system.

  • Help clients set goals and build action plans through pregnancy, postpartum, parenthood, and other life transitions.

  • Complete timely, non-clinical session documentation within Mamaya Health’s established timeframes.

  • Work within the scope of coaching; recognize when a client needs clinical support and follow Mamaya Health’s referral and escalation process.

  • Communicate with clients only through Mamaya Health-approved channels.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Team as needed to ensure best practices and compliance.

  • Actively participate in monthly meetings with Mamaya Health Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Coaching certification or formal coach training (e.g., ICF, NBHWC, or equivalent).

  • Prior experience providing 1:1 coaching, ideally supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, or life transitions.

  • Clear understanding of the difference between coaching and therapy, and comfort referring clients to clinical care.

  • Comfortable with telehealth, scheduling, and documentation platforms, with a private, reliable space for video sessions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to inclusivity and cultural humility.

  • Strong self-accountability and autonomy.
