Summary

In the role of Wood Door Builder, you will play a pivotal role by crafting high-quality custom wood overhead doors. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and experience working with wood materials to create durable and visually appealing doors. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills, experience with woodworking tools, and a passion for craftsmanship.

Duties

• Build, assemble, and finish custom wood overhead doors according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Cut, shape, and prepare wood materials using saws, routers, planers, and other woodworking equipment.
• Sand, stain, and finish doors to achieve desired aesthetics and durability.
• Ensure all doors meet quality control standards and customer specifications.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist in measuring, cutting, and fitting components for precise assembly.
• Work with other team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Must have a clean driving record to be added to our auto insurance policy.
• Must have dependable & reliable transportation.
• Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or cabinetmaking (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of different types of wood, adhesives, and finishes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CNC woodworking equipment (a plus but not required).

Work Conditions

• Non-climate-controlled environment – potentially working in all weather conditions. 
• Frequently sitting, standing, bending, lifting up to 50-75 lbs. continuously.
