Wood Shop Crew

Sherman Lumber is a commercial lumberyard serving internal and external building contractors. Our Woodshop staff are critical in receiving, handling, and preparing materials for building construction. This role is important to keep our day to day operations on track.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Safely operate and maintain Company property and equipment
• Accurately pull, stage and prepare orders
• Stock and maintain hardware, materials
• Communicate with team and leadership

Woodshop Staff have a high regard for safety, service, and accuracy. Successful candidates enjoy the physical demands of the position, including repeated heavy lifting, are highly self-motivated, detailed, and take initiative to get the job done right in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks at once.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
• Ability to pass our skills assessment measuring attention to detail, basic skills, and ability to multi-task
• Must be at least 18 year old

PREFFERED:

• Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling, sanding machines, and nail guns.
• Can read a tape measure.
• Select and adjust the proper cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools for completing a job.
• Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products.

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
