Wood Truss Loader

Overview:

As a Wood Truss Loader, your top priority will be to accurately and efficiently load wood trusses for customer deliveries.

Essential Functions:

• Promote and drive safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, drivers, and customers.


• Operating a forklift and larger lift to load wood trusses on trucks and trailers.


• Promote and maintain cleanliness of the loading area.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

Ability to

• Properly utilize and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE)


• Read, write and communicate with employees, drivers, and contractors effectively and professionally.


• Operate forklift and other larger type lifts.


• Maintain a dependable attendance record.


• Receive instruction and follow directions, including technical and multi-step instructions.


• Work independently as well as in a team.


• Work safely, remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred attributes

• High school diploma or GED


• Previous forklift and/or other type loading equipment experience

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting for long periods of time


• Routine lifting up to 50 lbs (occasional lifting up to 80 lbs)


• Frequent to occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, bending and twisting
