Work Readiness Program

Repowered was founded to serve people with a history of incarceration and other barriers to employment.

Our Work Readiness Program is a 12 to 18 month Hope-based program providing successful workforce training and reintegration support for formerly incarcerated people and those with barriers to meaningful employment. We hold Hope as a core value because we live by our organization's impact statement: "We are all defined by our futures."

SUMMARY

This position will provide manufacturing knowledge and excellence to deliver a safe and impactful operation. Success in this position will require quality assurance, dismantling and proper sorting of electronics, safe operation in a warehouse setting, and basic computer knowledge and usage. Additional skills training may include forklift certification, Successful Strategies in the Workforce, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneur Training, and introduction to community organizations and fair chance employers.  

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Able to learn quickly and properly sort various components into proper categories.


• Identify primary material sorter online, ensuring materials end up in a proper location.


• Track weights and other metrics.


• Follow and enforce all safety & R2 regulations and precautions.


• Able to stand for extended periods of time.


• Keep the work area clean.

Additional Position Information

• Pay: $16.47/hour with immediate opportunities to increase with skills training


• Benefits: Full benefits package available starting 60 days of employment including free mental health care, group health plan, employer HSA contribution, STD, LTD, and a retirement match. We also offer PTO, full 40-hour work weeks, paid holidays, and company apparel!


• Classification:  Non-exempt, according to FLSA guidelines.  


• Physical Requirements:  The warehouse environment includes regular standing and lifting of approximately 50lbs, loud noises, fluorescent lighting, and a dusty area.


• Work Schedule: This is a full-time position. Core business hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Occasional evening or weekend availability may be necessary.
