Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Top Tier Reps is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with experience in workers’ compensation defense. This role is ideal for attorneys looking to build a long-term career within a supportive, high-performing legal team. You'll manage your caseload from intake through resolution, working directly with employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage workers’ compensation cases from inception to final resolution
• Conduct discovery, hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary
• Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Negotiate settlements and attend mediations or conferences
• Maintain compliance with statutory deadlines and best practices
• Proactively manage files and meet all client and court deadlines

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the State Bar of California
• Prior experience in workers’ compensation preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and time management abilities
• Commitment to proactive, organized case handling
