Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location:

Cleveland, Ohio, on-site at our Cleveland office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys collaborating in person with experienced colleagues while serving clients throughout Ohio.

Note:

To be considered, you must have 1 to 4 years of experience practicing as an attorney, experience or a strong interest in workers' compensation law, and an active license to practice law in Ohio. Experience working with political subdivisions, municipalities, public entities, school districts, or other government-related clients is strongly preferred.

Job Description

  • Handle workers' compensation matters affecting public entities, educational organizations, and employers
  • Research and analyze legal issues and provide practical recommendations to clients
  • Draft legal memoranda, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Assist with the defense and management of workers' compensation claims and related proceedings
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, negotiations, and other workers' compensation matters
  • Advise clients on legal developments, claim strategy, risk management, and compliance issues
  • Work closely with experienced attorneys to develop effective strategies and achieve positive outcomes
  • Build trusted client relationships through responsive communication and practical legal counsel

Qualifications

  • 1 to 4 years of experience practicing law
  • Active Ohio attorney license in good standing
  • Workers' compensation experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team
  • Experience representing political subdivisions, municipalities, public entities, school districts, or other government-related clients is preferred
