Job Title: Workforce Manager Program: Residential Services

Salary/Hourly Status: SalaryFLSA Classification: Exempt

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours (after-hours/weekend on-call) Reports to: Director of Residential Member Services

Waypoint offers comprehensive services, including a special purpose private school for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, case management and outpatient therapy services for children and adults, and residential and in-home supports for adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.

Position Overview

The Workforce Manager is responsible for directly supporting all House Managers through training, schedule management, consultation, and monitoring of Quality Assurance protocols to ensure member care is of the highest quality. This position reports to the Director of Residential Member Services and works closely with the Directors and House Managers. The Workforce Manager may be required to provide oversight for a program in the absence of a House Manager. This position requires after-hours and weekend on-call duties related to emergent staffing needs.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

•      Oversee the scheduling for residential programs, assigning DSPs based on experience and credentials (e.g., CRMA).

•      Provide after-hours and weekend on-call coverage related to residential programs staffing needs-find staff to fill shifts when needed.

•      Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise Per Diem and Flex DSPs.

•      Maintain and update the master schedule in Makeshift ensuring they accurately reflect current staffing patterns as submitted in Ascentra.

•      Maintain open and collaborative communication with Directors and House Managers regarding staffing concerns, needs and current submitted patterns.

•      Provide program oversight in the absence of a House Manager, as needed.

•      Assist in the training and ongoing support of new managers.

•      Assist with the training and support of DSPs.

•      Troubleshoot issues in programs and bring concerns to the Directors.

•      Spend time in each program developing relationships with staff and members to ensure communication and follow-through on leadership decisions.

•      Review all Incident Reports/Reportable Events for thorough and on time reporting and approval.

•      Maintain DSP/CRMA credentials.

•      Be familiar with the Home and Community Based (HCBS) Rule and licensing regulations and be able to transfer this knowledge to program staff as needed.

•      Attend staff meetings regularly to communicate Waypoint policies and bring concerns to the Director.

•      Assist with PCP paperwork as needed.

•      Attend webinars, in-services, or training sessions relevant to maintaining or expanding the knowledge base.

•      Perform other work-related duties as assigned.



Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

•      Strong management, organizational, and communication skills.

•      Strong computer skills / advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

•      Valid driver’s license from current state of residence.

•      Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Education/Experience

•      Two to five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

•      BS/BA degree in a related field preferred.

•      Experience leading a team.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

•      Ability to transfer and reposition adults weighing up to 100–200 lbs. with another staff member and/or mechanical lift as needed.

•      Normal degree of flexibility; ability to stand, walk, run, and shuffle for several minutes; kneel on one and two knees and then stand up; bend 45 degrees at the trunk and twist to either side; grasp firmly; and raise hands above head.

•      Ability to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment for extended periods.

•      Ability to travel between homes and administrative sites across the service area.

Starting Pay Range - $50,000 - $55,000/annually
