Job Title: Working Shop Foreman – International Truck Dealership

Position Summary:
Sternberg International is currently seeking a qualified Working Shop Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities, strong mechanical expertise, and excellent organizational skills. This position is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining productivity standards while performing hands-on diagnostic and repair work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct shop technicians to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company quality standards.


• Perform diagnostic procedures, test drives, and final quality inspections on completed repairs.


• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to less experienced technicians.


• Assign repair orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work.


• Maintain accurate records of repairs and communicate effectively with service advisors and management.


• Promote and enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the service department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy truck repair; International truck experience preferred but not required.


• Proven leadership and team management skills.


• Excellent mechanical and diagnostic capabilities.


• Strong time management and organizational abilities.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B required.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
