Positions reporting to this job:

Job Purpose

As a Workshop Assistant, you will be responsible
for diagnosing faults, repairing cooker & canister components, assembling
them, and performing quality control checks to ensure that the repaired
products meet the required performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities
and Accountabilities

• Repair and refurbish canisters, adhering to
  standard procedures and tools.
  
• Diagnose and repair defective cooker parts.
  
• Repair/refurbishment of cookers and their parts.
  
• Assemble full cooker units, adhering to standard
  procedures and tools.
  
• Perform quality checks on repaired cookers and
  canisters before packaging. 
  
• Accurately document QC results in line with SOPs.
  
• Share feedback and recommend improvements to
  tools, equipment, and processes.
  
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, tool organization,
  and adhere to 6S manufacturing principles.
  
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
  of spare parts, components, and consumables.
  
• Do any other work as assigned by your
  supervisor/team leader
  
• Adhere to safety guidelines during all workshop
  activities.
  

Minimum Requirements

• High School Certificate or its equivalent
  
• A technical certificate/diploma is an added
  advantage
  
• Ability to
  use power tools (drills, grinders, rivet gun, compressor)
  
• Strong
  mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to
  follow technical procedures and safety protocols.
  
• Ability to
  work in a highly dynamic and technological environment
  
• Good
  communication and interpersonal skills
