Workshop Technician

• 0-2 Years experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty mobile or fixed industrial equipment such as: mining equipment (loaders, haul trucks, drills, bolters), OR construction equipment OR industrial engines, power generation, or material handling equipment (Heavy-duty only, not light)

• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems and mechanical drivetrains.

• Proven ability to work safely on large, high-risk equipment with strict compliance expectations

• Less than 2 years of industry experience. 

COMPETENCIES  

Limited to basic equipment knowledge and skills to be developed in at  

least one equipment type. (Automation as priority) 

• Load & Haul  

• Drilling and Rigging  

• Rock Drill Technologies  

    Automation and/or  

               Rock Drills  

iSERIES – acquiring knowledge and skills in the following: Decentralized  

• Automation - Bus Technology; Control Systems; Mechanics; Hydraulics.  

• Pneumatics; Electrics 

PROBLEM SOLVING 

• Uses standard operating procedures to  

guide own work and solve standard  

problems.
