Worship Director

Description

Major Responsibilities: 

- As the Worship Director, you are in charge and fully responsible to ensure that the department you are leading is healthy and growing.
- The Worship Director is spiritually mature and maintains a close, growing relationship with the Lord. There should be clear evidence of this in your leadership and interactions.
- Oversee the flow and order of all worship services and events with a high level of excellence.
- Choose biblically accurate and powerful worship songs for services, focusing on singing a new
song to the Lord but with the occasional throwback.
- Develop and mentor team leaders and team members within your department.
- Oversee the recruitment process for the department.
- Facilitate rehearsals in preparation for weekend services and other worship events.
- Attend a monthly coaching session with the Worship Regional Champion and other regional
Worship Directors who will help mentor, equip, and resource you to lead your ministry to the
best of your ability.
- Attend a weekly staff meeting for leadership development given by the Lead Pastor, as well as
communicate vision and goals for your department and the campus as a whole.
- Work with the leadership of the Hope Center to provide worship and booth support for
graduation events each month.
- Train or facilitate training for anyone planning to use Sunday’s equipment.
- Manage the worship budget including turning in receipts in a timely manner.
-Report weekly team numbers to keep track of growth.
 

Requirements

1. Skill Requirements:
    

The Worship Director is... 

- A skilled musician (Acoustic Guitar and/or Keys preferred).
- A skilled vocalist (Ability to sing and teach harmonies preferred).
- Competent with applications such as Planning Center, Multitracks, and ProPresenter
and has strong technical skills (Online and Lighting experience is a plus).
- Experienced and strong in team building and leadership.
- An excellent communicator, including keeping your team feeling well-informed.
- A positive person and has highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Effective at multitasking and time management.
- Effective at completing job requirements and making thoughtful decisions with little
oversight.
- Able to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Able to deal kindly and compassionately with difficult people and situations.

- A master of delegation to give others purpose and ownership within God’s church.
- A skilled graphic designer; has a keen eye for what looks good.
- Not prideful. They are happy to let others take the lead.
- Able to help the staff with technical issues.

Education:
- 1-3 Years Leading Worship for a 200+ attendance church.
- High School Diploma or GED
