WORSHIP LEADER

One Church

Basic Assignment

The Outpost Worship Leader (WL) is responsible for leading worship at a One Church outpost. They recruit and develop outpost volunteers of the One Church Worship. As part of an outpost, the WL works to execute outpost-specific events and initiatives. In working with our Central Team, this individual leads worship, churchwide, and contributes to the development of the worship experience across One Church.

Staff Relationship

• Full-Time, accountable to the Outpost Pastor and Creative Arts Pastor who will supervise, support, evaluate


• Works closely with worship staff to plan worship services and manage areas of ministry


• Practice Matthew 18 and show 100% support in all decisions made as a team

Qualifications

• Biblical, Spirit-filled Christ follower, aligned with the vision and beliefs of One Church


• Kingdom-focus and joyous spirit in sharing God’s love; high moral and spiritual integrity


• Passion for connecting people to Jesus through music, relationships and creativity


• Skilled in singing and playing an instrument(s)


• Experienced in leading volunteer teams, on stage and off stage

Principle Duties

• Lead worship at a One Church outpost as well as online service recordings


• Oversee band and production volunteers at an outpost


• Work with outpost staff on events and initiatives


• Lead worship in the Spanish service and Young Adults service. In working with the Creative Arts Pastor, oversee a schedule of band and vocalists serving in these services


• Participate with worship staff in generating the support, tools and resources for equipping volunteers, churchwide


• Carry out projects and initiatives as assigned by supervisors


• Assist in developing residents who have joined the One Church residency
  
  

Specific Responsibilities

• Lead worship in a number of worship services during the week


• Care for outpost volunteers. Recruit, train and equip them to serve well.


• Collaborate with others in special events, gatherings, creative assignments


• Participate in the recruitment and training of residents in the residency program

Skills and Abilities

• Leadership and communication skills


• Creative and intuitive


• Vocal ability and musical skill (preferably guitar and/or piano)


• Minimum of 1+yrs experience in leading worship music.

Administrative and organized. Some experience in music applications is preferred.
