Willow Creek Community Church is an egalitarian non-denominational, multi-site church in and across Chicagoland passionate about helping people take next steps to love God, love people, and change the world. 

As the Worship Pastor you will lead our congregation in powerfully engaging, highly experiential worship services that direct people into life-changing encounters with God. You will use your expertise to plan and execute weekend worship services at Willow Crystal Lake (approx 1,000+ attendance) in collaboration and alignment with the Central Arts & Worship team. In addition, you will shepherd and develop a volunteer team in the execution of each service, supporting the process to move ideas into excellent service elements and oversee each weekend experience.

The salary range for this position is around $60,000 - $82,000 depending on experience and skill set. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, retirement savings with company match, generous paid time off, parental leave, mental health counseling reimbursement, and more.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and execute excellent worship services through leading and supporting volunteers to execute each weekend service. 
• Act as the primary worship leader and provide pastoral moments to our congregation.
• Collaborate with the Campus Pastor, Production Manager and Central Arts & Worship Team to execute the vision and strategy for Willow Creek Community Church.
• Actively recruit, train, shepherd, encourage, and disciple volunteers for bands, vocalists, technology, and other weekend roles
• Work with the Junior High and High School Ministries in developing young worship leaders for their environments.
• May perform the duties of a pastor as needed and available, such as performing weddings and funerals, making hospital visits, providing crisis care assistance, etc.

Education and Experience:

• Prior experience leading worship
• Experience leading volunteers
• Biblical training is a plus
