Purpose and Overview:
Grace Baptist Church is seeking a gifted and visionary Worship Pastor to lead and oversee all aspects of our Worship Ministry, including corporate worship for all campuses, supervising the Grace Performing Arts Center, and providing leadership to the Grace Christian Academy performing arts program. This pastoral position requires a passion for Christ, a heart for the local church, excellence in musical direction, and a heart for humility.

This position has the satisfaction of knowing they are creating a culture of discipleship through the worship ministries at Grace, along with equipping members and volunteers to commit their lives to Jesus.
- Embrace the Core Values of BMIC (Biblical, Missional, Intentional, and Charitable) while fostering an environment that promotes GPS (Growing in a Group, Participating in Worship, and Serving Others).
- Carry out the strategy and vision for worship at GBC Knoxville, Oak Ridge, and Grace Christian Academy.
- Provide leadership for all GBC and GCA worship environments and special events.
- Lead in planning, preparing, and executing worship services that glorify God and engage the congregation.
- Select music that is theologically sound and appropriate for a multigenerational congregation.
- Create strategies for increasing and maintaining growth within the performing arts ministries at GBC and GCA.
- Oversee all GBC/GCA seasonal programming and productions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Grace Christian Academy Responsibilities:
Grace Christian Academy (GCA) is a ministry of Grace Baptist Church and believes and teaches the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. GCA exists to LEAD students to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, to BUILD them up to their full potential in Him, and to EQUIP them for service.
As the Worship Pastor of Grace Baptist Church, you will:
- Partner with GCA leadership to cultivate a thriving and excellent performing arts curriculum and culture within the school.
- Provide direction and instruction to GCA performing arts teachers and staff.
- Encourage musical excellence in weekly GCA chapels.
- Demonstrate support of GCA by attending academic and athletic events whenever possible.

- Committed to biblical tithing (a minimum of 10% of gross income).
- A strong leader for all areas of the performing arts ministry.

- Experienced in performing arts instruction/education.
Education and Experience:
- Prefer Master’s degree or higher in Music Education.
- Prefer minimum of five years of proven worship ministry leadership in a congregation of 2,000 or more worshippers.
