Wound Care - Nurse Practitioner, RN, & MD

MCare Agency is seeking Physicians (MD/DO), Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) with wound care experience to join our growing team in Houston, Texas! We offer PRN, Part-time, and Full-time positions with flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle.

We are looking for passionate healthcare professionals who want to deliver high-quality wound care services directly in patients homes.

Position Details:

• Title: Wound Care Provider (MD / FNP / RN)

• Pay Range:

  • MD/DO: $175 - $200 per hour

  • FNP: $150 per hour

  • RN: $70 -  $100 per hour (depending on experience)

• Location: Houston, Texas

• Start Date: Immediate

• Schedule Options: PRN, Part-time, or Full-time (Flexible)

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-home patient visits for wound care management

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments

• Perform wound cleaning, debridement, and dressing changes

• Apply advanced wound care techniques, including negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)

• Manage skin grafts and other minor wound procedures (as credentialed)

• Develop and update individualized patient care plans

• Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management and prevention

• Accurately document patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR)

• Collaborate with the broader care team and referring providers as needed

Qualifications:

• For MDs/DOs: Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas

• For FNPs: Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority preferred

• For RNs: Active Texas RN license; Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or similar) strongly preferred

• Wound care experience (minimum 6 months preferred)

• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile/home-based caseload

• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

• Reliable transportation

• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred for MDs/FNPs)
