Job Description - Wound Care RN - Per Diem

Job Summary

Per diem position, hours scheduled as needed.


The wound care nurse is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the ostomy care for inpatients. S/he is involved in the acute, chronic and rehabilitative care of persons with abdominal stomas or ostomies, draining wounds, fistulae, dermal tissue trauma and urinary incontinence.

This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.


 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing required

Licenses and Credentials

  • Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts]

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year wound and ostomy care experience required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Unit-specific skills are outlined in the department-specific orientation/skills checklist and annual unit-specific skill and competency checklist.
