Job Description - WW Lead, Business Development for Strategic Accounts

DESCRIPTION

AWS is seeking a highly motivated Leader for a team focused on strategic initiatives to develop strategic accounts. This person will lead a globally distributed cross-functional team and will work closely with Amazon senior management and cross-organization teams. The team develop, implement and operationalize scalable mechanisms to accelerate Strategic Accounts by helping companies with strategic transformation opportunities. This team will help accelerate deals by coordinating #OneTeam efforts to help customers, working across teams such as Sales Operations, Finance , Partner Funding, Risk Management and Compliance, and Field Enablement.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. They will have demonstrated abilities to influence decision makers in a consultative selling approach (preferably through previous consulting, sales or similar customer experience) to progress decision making through their personal involvement with developing and presenting a compelling business case. They are a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional counterparts and thrives in fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving. This role requires high judgement, strong ability to earn trust, think big, and work in fast-paced highly-visible situations.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of deal consultants to drive growth and deal velocity. The candidate will: coach sales teams, structure compelling proposals to holistically address our customers' business outcomes, and allocate resources and investments.
• Ensure investments and allocated resources meet compliance and profitability guidelines.
• Accelerate decision making with cross-functional leaders using a high-level of accountability and judgement.
• Provide visibility and insights of pipeline to accelerate response and time to value.
• Act as trusted advisor and thought leader to broader team to develop commercial strategies and deal structures.
• Build strong internal relationships with leaders across Amazon (e.g., Professional Services, AWS Partner, Operations, Legal, Finance).
• Assess customers needs, and competitive landscape to inform executive planning.
• Lead team to identify customer patterns and adjust offerings to maximize customers and business impact.
• Continuously iterate to improve efficiencies in the utilization of the resources of the team and key stakeholders to drive scale and simplification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
