X-Ray Technologist

We’re looking for a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities:

X-Ray Procedures: 

• Capture high-quality radiographs as ordered by physicians using proper radiation protection for both patients and staff.
• Prepare radiographic equipment and suites for daily use.
• Handle equipment malfunctions and follow the chain of command for resolution.
• Escort patients to and from x-ray suites, ensuring correct identity verification and accurate exam details.

Fluoroscopy:

• Operate the digital C-arm fluoroscopy machine and assist physicians during procedures under sterile technique.
• Set up sterile trays, open required medications, and ensure proper disposal of bodily fluids and sharps.
• Document fluoroscopic time and patient flow in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Clean and stock the injection suites daily.

Office and Administrative Support:

• Ensure patient exams are imported into the PACS system prior to appointments.
• Monitor and manage x-ray tasks in EHR and facilitate exam requests from external providers and patients.
• Maintain radiation safety records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Assist with phone and email correspondence under office guidelines.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk for up to 8 hours during a shift.
• Lift and transfer patients up to 290 pounds with assistance.
• Operate radiology equipment and manipulate objects up to 15 pounds.
• Push patients in wheelchairs or gurneys across distances.
• Move up to 45 pounds multiple times throughout the day.

Quality Assurance & Audit Measures:

• Complete tasks efficiently and monitor performance through audits.
• Ensure proper management of overtime and workload distribution.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with sterilizer maintenance and stock medical supplies for the office.
• Room injection patients when necessary and provide support to other departments as needed.
