X-ray Technologist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to patients in a fast-paced environment. As an X-ray Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment functionality. This position is vital for supporting the diagnostic process in various settings, including Level II trauma centers, emergency medicine, and urgent care facilities.

Duties

• Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Utilize advanced medical imaging techniques, including mammography and nuclear medicine, to obtain high-quality images.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures and results.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and assist in diagnosis.
• Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment through regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated on advancements in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and imaging technology to enhance service delivery.

Experience

• Proven experience as an X-ray Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to diagnostic imaging.
• Familiarity with various imaging modalities, including X-ray, mammography, and nuclear medicine.
• Experience working in a Level II trauma center or emergency medicine environment is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in urgent care settings while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Certfications: ARRT R, BLS, California CRT

Shift:

Mid 5x8-Hour (13:00 - 21:30)

Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:00)
