X-Ray Technologist (Per-Diem)

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is actively recruiting for a per diem X-ray Technologist to join our growing team in Newburgh, NY.

RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $40.00 per hour

WORK LOCATION(S): Newburgh, NY

STATUS: Per Diem

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

• Operate or oversee operation of radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Review and evaluate x-rays to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during Radiologic Procedure.
• Position and immobilize patient on examining table.
• Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
• Take thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
• Provide assistance with such tasks as dressing and changing to seriously ill, injured, or disabled patients.
• Attend and participate in monthly department, All Staff and other required meetings.
• Be familiar with and adhere to all clinical, administrative, and general policies and procedures as outlined in the Cornerstone Family Healthcare Policy and Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook.
• Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Cornerstone Family Healthcare including, but not limited to, patient confidentiality, financials, and employee relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology accredited school
• New York State License to Practice Radiologic Technology
