Job Summary:

As a Marine Broker at Oyster Harbors Marine, you will play a crucial role in connecting clients with their ideal yachts and boats. You will leverage your deep knowledge of the marine industry, exceptional sales skills, and customer service expertise to facilitate the buying and selling process for our valued clients. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, manufacturers, and other industry stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Brokerage:

- Actively prospect and identify potential buyers and sellers of yachts and boats.

- Conduct thorough market analysis to determine competitive pricing and market trends.

- Present and show yachts and boats to prospective clients, highlighting features and benefits.

- Negotiate sales and purchase agreements, ensuring favorable terms for clients.

- Manage the entire sales process from initial inquiry to final transaction, including documentation and closing.

- Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing personalized service and support.

- Respond promptly to client inquiries, offering expert advice and solutions tailored to their needs.

- Conduct follow-ups and maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

- Marketing and Promotion:

- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote listings and attract potential buyers.

- Utilize digital marketing tools, social media, and traditional advertising to maximize exposure.

- Prepare high-quality marketing materials, including listings, brochures, and online content.

- Industry Networking:

- Attend boat shows, industry events, and networking functions to represent Oyster Harbors Marine.

- Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other industry professionals.

- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitor activities.

- Administrative Duties:

- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, client interactions, and inventory.

- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to yacht and boat sales.

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and sales forecasts.

Manufacturers Sold:

- Viking Yachts

- Valhalla

- Mag Bay

- Everglades

- Albemarle

- Princess Yachts

- Rossiter


Requirements

 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a yacht or boat broker, or in a similar sales role within the marine industry.

- Strong knowledge of yachts, boats, and marine equipment.

- Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.

- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and industry professionals.

- Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) designation.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

- Familiarity with New England’s boating community and marinas
