Position Title: Banquet Server

Department: Catering Operations

Reports to: Banquet Captain/Supervisor ➔ Banquet Manager ➔ Food and Beverage Director

Position Summary: The position is responsible for executing banquet service with a high level of professionalism and hospitality. Banquet Servers will provide premium service for members and their guests, ensuring seamless event experiences. They will be expected to have a solid understanding of event setups and coordination. The service staff will also be expected to deliver exceptional service during events, maintaining a high level of energy and professionalism.

Employment Status: Most new and returning employees are hired under a seasonal employment status. Seasonal employees can typically expect a consistent schedule from approximately April to October each year. At the end of each respective season, employees are encouraged to submit requests to transition to either year-round part-time or full-time status. Approval of these requests will be contingent upon the needs of the Club and the employee's performance track record.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent experience


• Two or more years of experience preferred


• Ability to work flexible hours, including key holidays, evenings, and weekends


• Demonstrated strong organizational skills


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Physical capability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting


• Ability to consistently lift over 50 lbs


• Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record

• Provide key assistance to the Club by: 
  
  
  
  • Exceeding the expectations of members and their guests, while representing the Club to the highest standards
  
  
  • Setting up and breaking down banquet areas in line with event requirements
  
  
  • Knowledge of event-specific menus and preparation methods
  
  
  • Understanding event timelines and flow
  
  
  • Delivering impeccable service and demonstrating social perceptiveness during events
  
  
  • Ability to evaluate guest satisfaction and responsiveness during events
  
  
  • Assisting with collecting payments when necessary
  
  
  • Carefully following all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service
  
  
  • Slowing and refusing alcoholic service when necessary
  
  
  • Continually seeking to enhance knowledge and skills related to service
  
  
  • Maintaining self-awareness of members’, management, and peers
