Position Title: Restaurant Steward/Dishwasher

Position Summary: The Restaurant Steward ensures the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas while offering key support in food preparation and waste management. Stewards provide exceptional service to members and guests, adhering to the Club's standards. They are expected to maintain a high level of energy and professionalism throughout their duties.

Employment Status: Most new and returning employees are hired under a seasonal employment status. Seasonal employees can typically expect a consistent schedule from approximately April to October each year. At the end of each respective season, employees are encouraged to submit requests to transition to either year-round part-time or full-time status. Approval of these requests will be contingent upon the needs of the Club and the employee's performance track record.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent experience


• Two or more years of experience preferred


• Ability to work flexible hours, including key holidays, evenings, and weekends


• Demonstrated strong organizational skills


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Physical capability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting


• Ability to consistently lift over 50 lbs


• Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record

  • Exceeding the expectations of members and their guests, while representing the Club to the highest standards
  
  
  • Ensuring all kitchenware and areas are clean and sanitized according to safety standards
  
  
  • Assisting with basic food preparation such as peeling and chopping vegetables
  
  
  • Managing waste and recycling according to sustainability practices
  
  
  • Maintaining constant awareness of cleanliness within the kitchen and dining areas
  
  
  • Collaborating with culinary staff to ensure a seamless operation
  
  
  • Continually seeking to enhance skills and knowledge related to service and kitchen operations
