Yard and Delivery

Job Summary: The Part-Time Yard and Delivery plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the yard and warehouse while assisting with deliveries, will calls, returns, and inventory management. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to maintaining a well-organized and efficient work environment while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Will Calls
   
   
   
   • Provide excellent service to customers by quickly and accurately loading their materials.
   
   
   • Ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all customers during will call interactions.
   
   
   
   


2. Customer Returns
   
   
   
   • Quickly and accurately record returns from customers and ensure proper documentation is forwarded to the relevant department.
   
   
   • Restock or dispose of returned goods as necessary.
   
   
   
   


3. Pull Loads
   
   
   
   • Assist the delivery team by preparing shipments for delivery.
   
   
   • Ensure loads are pulled accurately and in a timely manner, preparing for next-day deliveries or same-day requests.
   
   
   
   


4. Clean Warehouse and Keep Neat
   
   
   
   • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the warehouse and yard.
   
   
   • Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of stock bins and surrounding areas.
   
   
   • Assist in inventory readiness by rotating stock, restocking returns, and disposing of waste and debris.
   
   
   
   


5. Stock Bins
   
   
   
   • Ensure that vendor shipments are placed in the correct bin locations for easy access and organization.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment (experience preferred).


• Ability to lift heavy objects.


• Ability to communicate and interact with customers effectively.


• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
